Traditional medicine, such as Ayurveda, emphasizes the importance of the temperature of the water we drink. No extreme temperatures are recommended – it should neither be icy or hot.
1. These are the times when you should drink cold water
When you exercise
During physical activity, body temperature rises, and sweating is a mechanism by which the body tries to cool down.

2. These are the times when you should drink warm water
When you have problems with digestion
According to the rules of Ayurveda, warm water in the morning can improve and stimulate digestion. If after a meal you drink cold water, the body will hardly digest food, so use the consumption of lukewarm to hot water.
When it comes to cleaning the body of toxins, water can be of great help. Start the day with lukewarm water and a few drops of lemon.
And besides the lemon, you can add cucumber, mint, apples or cinnamon, which also help in detoxification.
When you have pain
If you suffer from headache or some form of light inflammation, it is better to drink warm water that stimulates blood circulation.
When you have constipation
Warm water is a better option when you have constipation because it will provide the required amount of fluid whose disadvantage may be one of the reasons for this problem.
