3 style tips for skinny men

When we meet people for the first time, our appearance is most influential in what kind of impression we will leave behind. Doesn’t matter if we like it or not, subconsciously, people judge others based on how they look and will almost certainly make assumptions based on our outward appearance.

So, what can you do to leave a strong first impression and show strength of character or leadership when you first meet someone?

For one, you can hit the gym, bulk up and have an imposing presence. But, you don’t have to be physically strong or bulked up to leave a good, strong first impression. If you are a skinny guy, like me, just follow these handful of tips that will boost your overall appearance and presence.

  • Fit

No matter what your body type is, proper well-fitted clothes are vital in becoming a well dressed man. Most skinny men opt for clothes that are bigger in size, thinking they will bulk up visually. But skinny men actually benefit from wearing clothes that are exactly their size. You don’t want to leave any room between your skin and your shirt/t-shirt, but don’t go for skin-tight shirts and t-shirts as well.

  • Colors and Patterns
  • Multiple layers

A simple shirt and sweater will work nicely. Or a short-sleeved t-shirt and a plaid shirt on top will also make you look good.

During the winter you can also opt for turtleneck sweaters. Not only will it make you look beefier, but will also keep you warm without adding many layers.

Different men prefer different styles, but you should always dress to flatter your body regardless of your body type. If you wear clothes that flatter your body, you will create a stronger image and as a result will actually feel stronger too.
