How To Look Your Best On A Winter Date – I Wish I Knew This Before

Winter dates are never simple for various reasons, and it’s become quite a hot topic nowadays.

Maybe love is simply spreading through the air or maybe it’s just that the nights are getting shorter and we are all preparing for long Winter and warm nights in.

Regardless, we have noticed that the number of issues related to men’s style of dressing has increased.

Last week we talked about the British style as a timeless stamp on men’s fashion, but this time we chose to talk about a slightly more serious seasonal relevant option, i.e how to properly combine your style for a Winter date.

The answer to this question begins and ends with layers.

While it is highly unlikely that your date will unfold in the North Pole, we will assume the date will start outdoors, and then continue indoors.

So to answer this question thoroughly, we have divided it into five basic elements:

1. Always show your strengths

This involves wearing colors and styles that suit you best. Especially if it is a first date, your best move would be not to experiment and stick to items that you know suit you best.

Accentuate your strengths and feel comfortable and confident in what you wear.

2. Formal and informal attire

There are some casual events where it can be acceptable to wear a good pair of jeans and other formal events when you should go with a more elegant option and choose a fashionable pair of Winter pants.

In such situations, it is best to add some textures or designs such as knitted shirts or patterned sweaters that give a certain level of fun.

3. Carefully select the layers

Winter is the best period for combining a number of layers. However, always be careful when selecting the right colors and fabrics because not all of them go together.

One other thing that is highly important is to always make sure your layers are a proper fit. You want to go for a neat and tidy look, rather than looking baggy and out of place.

4. Pick the right shoes or boots

It all depends on the location of the date and the weather conditions. If you want to make a strong impression, wear elegant shoes.

However if you decided to ignore the weather and go on a date despite the icy or snow covered streets, than you might want to consider some Chelsea boots instead.

5. Put the phone in your pocket and leave it there

Most importantly, in order to be a true gentleman, you should always put your phone aside and pay full attention to your date.

Although this goes for dates in general, we felt it’s an important one to mention. Especially if you want to have your hands free to warm the hands of your date.

That also doesn’t only make her feel more comfortable, but it will not distract you as well.

To sum up, you should adapt to the situation, the location of the date and the weather, of course.

But one thing to keep in mind – always choose the right fashion combination.
