9 Tips To Be A More Attractive Man

Many men want to find a partner, but simply don’t know how to make themselves more attractive to gain their attention. Other men simply want to become more attractive in order to boost their confidence.

Regardless what your reason is, here is a small list of tips you would want to change in order to become a more attractive man:

  • Shoes should always shine

Be fancy and always wear clean and shiny shoes. It takes just a couple of minutes to clean the shoes of any dust or dirt and to polish them.Remember, shoes are one of the first things people notice. Whether you’re in dress shoes, sneakers, or loafers, well-maintained footwear shows discipline and style awareness.

Leather shoes should be cleaned with a proper conditioner or polish, while suede shoes need a gentle brush to maintain texture. For casual days, clean white sneakers can give a sharp, modern look. Brands like Clarks, Timberland, and Cole Haan offer quality options that can complement both casual and formal outfits.

  • Shoes and white socks just don’t match

White socks and black, elegant shoes can only be forgiven if worn by Michael Jackson, but you certainly will not be. It is better not wear any socks than to wear white ones.

White socks create a visual break that distracts from the rest of your outfit. Instead, match your socks to your pants or shoes — dark navy, charcoal, or patterned dress socks elevate your entire look. White socks are fine for sports, gym sessions, or sneakers, but not with formal shoes. Remember, details make the man.

  • Shirt under sweater

To look more professional, be sure to have the shirt collar under the sweater. Having the collar over the sweater or the blazer may have been a fashion thing in the 70’s, but nowadays you will look a bit clumsy if you leave the collar over the sweater. Always put the collar under the sweater.

This rule also depends on the type of sweater. For a crewneck, let just the shirt collar peek subtly; for a V-neck, show a clean triangle of your shirt. Make sure the shirt is neatly ironed and the collar is crisp. You can even add a tie under a fine-knit V-neck for a polished, office-ready look. Pairing colors also matters, for instance, a light blue shirt under a navy sweater always looks timeless.

  • Keep the gym clothes just for the gym

The clothes you wear to the gym while exercising, should not be part of your everyday outfit.

Gym wear is designed for performance, not presentation. Outside the gym, switch to casual staples like chinos, fitted jeans, polo shirts, or clean t-shirts. Athleisure can work when done right, for example, a pair of black joggers with a crisp white tee and bomber jacket looks stylish without trying too hard. Avoid sweat-stained shirts or oversized tanks when you’re out and about.

  • Clothes that fit perfectly

We have covered this point in other articles as well and for the sake of it, lets repeat it here again. Do not buy too small or too big clothes, but only garments that perfectly fit you, because it is the only way you will get the desired effect.

Fit is everything. A good fit enhances your posture, makes you look leaner, and boosts confidence instantly. For shirts, make sure the shoulder seams align with your shoulders. Trousers should lightly graze your shoes without bunching. If you’re unsure, visit a tailor — even small adjustments like sleeve length or waistline can transform how an outfit looks. Slim-fit, regular-fit, and relaxed-fit all work depending on your body type — experiment and see which silhouette flatters you most.

  • Regular nail care

Long nails aren’t in. Cut and care them regularly. Beautiful and manicured nails are crucial for men as much as they are for women.

Clean, trimmed nails signal hygiene and self-respect. Use a nail clipper once a week, file edges smoothly, and keep cuticles moisturized. Avoid biting nails or letting dirt build underneath. For an extra polished look, apply a little clear hand cream or balm — it strengthens nails and softens your hands. Well-groomed hands are always noticed during handshakes or dates.

  • Shaving does not have to be the first thing you do after you wake up

Give your skin time to wake up. Wait 10-15 minutes and then began the morning beauty and shaving treatment.

This gives your skin time to warm up and your facial hair to soften, reducing irritation. Use warm water and a gentle exfoliating scrub before shaving to open pores. A quality shaving gel or cream helps the blade glide better. Follow up with an alcohol-free aftershave balm to prevent dryness. Investing in a sharp razor or an electric trimmer can also make a big difference in results.

  • Short movements

When shaving use short movements in the direction of hair growth. Do not shave against the grain.

Shaving against the grain can cause razor burns and ingrown hairs. If you prefer a closer shave, go over the same area gently rather than pressing harder. Always rinse your blade between strokes, and replace blades regularly — a dull one tugs at the skin instead of cutting cleanly.

  • Posture

Slouch or hunchbacked posture gives the impression that you don’t take good care of yourself. Straighten your posture and it will reflect your confidence.

Stand tall with your shoulders back and chin slightly up, not only does it make you look more confident, but it also improves breathing and core strength. If you struggle with posture, try posture-correcting exercises such as wall angels or yoga stretches. Remember, how you carry yourself says just as much as what you wear.

Final Thought:

Becoming more attractive isn’t about chasing trends — it’s about discipline, grooming, and awareness of details. Shoes, fit, grooming, and confidence together shape your personal image. Make small, consistent improvements, and over time, you’ll project a version of yourself that looks and feels genuinely appealing.
