Keys and wallets also need a separate space.
Finally, there are several things you have to stay away from your desk. Your collection of energy drink cans is better left at home. Stress balls are also unnecessary. You don’t need to clutter your desk with all those unused business cards from 2019. Plastic organizers of different shapes make the space look very cheap. Finally, you don’t have to expose your cable nest and huge surge protector.
This way, your desk is a reflection of your professional mind. It needs to be organized and planned, but still personal enough to look interesting. This is the only part of the office you have full control over.
