A Gentleman’s Lifestyle

Timeless style, grooming, etiquette and buy-it-for-life advice for modern men

Editorial Policy & Disclosures

A Gentleman’s Lifestyle publishes practical guides on men’s style, grooming, etiquette, home and travel. This page explains how we create content, how we make money, and how we correct mistakes.

Who writes our content

Articles are written and edited by The Gentleman, the pen name of the site’s founder, who previously founded a men’s fashion and lifestyle brand.

How we create articles

  • Every article is written or substantially edited by a person on our team before it’s published.
  • We recommend products based on materials, construction, warranty and long-term ownership, not on who pays us.
  • Where we’ve personally owned or tested an item, we say so. Where we haven’t, we say what our recommendation is based on.
  • We may use software tools for research, outlining or proofreading. A human editor reviews, fact-checks and takes responsibility for everything we publish.
  • Health and fitness articles are general information, not medical advice. Talk to a qualified professional about your own situation.

Keeping articles accurate and current

We review older articles and update them when prices, products or advice change. Updated articles show the date of their last meaningful revision. When we correct a factual error, we fix it promptly and note significant corrections at the end of the article.

How we make money

This site is supported by advertising (including Google AdSense) and, on some pages, affiliate links. If you buy through an affiliate link, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate relationships never determine what we recommend or how we rank products, and we clearly disclose affiliate links on the pages where they appear.

We do not accept payment for articles, reviews, links or placement. We don’t publish sponsored or guest posts.
